RESEARCH ASSISTANT


JOB DESCRIPTION AND TERMS OF REFERENCE


Key duties and responsibilities

  1. Coordinating  and supervising a small team
  2. Updating books of accounts
  3. Research on market trends and prices
  4. Record keeping and report writing
  5. E-mail correspondence and Social Media Profile updating
  6. Liaising with various suppliers and other third parties
  7. Any other tasks that may arise

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be a student at the University  of Nairobi
  • Must have access to a computer/ laptop with internet connectivity
  • Passionate about social media and IT
  • Computer Literacy:  very good knowledge of Internet and E-mail, MS – Office and Excel; knowledge of Social Network Sites e.g. Twitter and Facebook.
  • Basic accounting skills – CPA Part II or QuickBooks an added advantage.
  • Academic Sales and Marketing knowledge. Sales experience an added advantage e.g. multilevel marketing.
  • Good knowledge of Nairobi City (CBD and its environs) as some travel within the city will be necessary
